At our organization, we seek out talented individuals and empower them with the autonomy, support, and resources necessary to create cutting-edge technology and products. Our suite of AI-powered solutions offers the perfect answer to the complex challenges faced by the largest and most successful institutions and businesses, providing clarity in a world of chaotic data.
Our team is responsible for developing web apps and APIs that bring our AI capabilities to our clients. We focus on producing high-quality code that best utilizes our efforts, with a small, product-oriented team. Our team is humble, inquisitive, and collaborative, with a shared passion for learning from those with diverse backgrounds, skills, and interests.
As the Lead Frontend Engineer your responsibilities will include developing secure, performant web apps that apply our AI capabilities to specific customer workflows, as well as producing carefully designed proofs-of-concept that help refine our product roadmap. You will collaborate with Design, Product, Machine Learning, and Infrastructure teams, as well as other Applications engineers. Your ability to work with a wide range of technologies and your depth of knowledge are both essential qualities for success in this role. You communicate proactively, efficiently, and inclusively with your geographically distributed colleagues. Above all, you are a thoughtful, deliberate technologist who generously shares your knowledge with others.
At our organization, we value flexibility above all, and we offer our employees the opportunity to work where they feel most productive and engaged (must be in the United States). We believe in-person collaboration is essential, and there may be times when team meetings or company events require travel to one of our hubs located in NY/DC/MA.
Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, documenting, deploying, maintaining, and improving software, managing project priorities and deadlines, and working with key stakeholders to develop system architectures, API specifications, implementation requirements, and complexity estimates. You will also test assumptions through instrumentation and prototyping, promote ongoing technical development through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship, and turn abstract business requirements into concrete technical plans.
To succeed in this role, you should have at least five years of direct experience in developing web applications within a team, along with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be familiar with a variety of tools for developing web applications, possess the ability to turn abstract business requirements into concrete technical plans, and have experience working across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle. You should also have sound reasoning about the behavior and performance of loosely coupled systems, proficiency with algorithms, data structures, and software architecture, and a demonstrable technical depth in at least one domain.
